Today it was discovered that someone posted millions of Gmail passwords on a Russian website.

If you are a Gmail user, you should change your password ASAP.

If you use another email service like Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo! or other free or web-based email services, you should be aware…and for good measure go change your password.

Note: if you are using one of these free email services for your practice email you are making a huge mistake.  This is a problem in many areas and should not be what you use for your business email.  We suggesting using something like this (business email) for your practice.

What Should I do?

The first thing you should do is change your password.  There are some websites out there that claim to tell you whether your email address was one that had its password leaked…but really, does it sound smart to input your email address on a random site?

So, don’t even bother figuring out IF your password was leaked, just change it.
